    Area sales tax receipts continue on upswing
    Area sales tax revenue numbers remain strong and continue to track ahead of past years. To date in 2021, Miller County revenues are 22.9 percent ahead of last year, Eldon is up 15 percent, Iberia is up 6.3 percent, and St. Elizabeth is up 15.7 percent.

    Lake of the Ozarks Council of Local Governments will host a community engagement meeting at 6 p.m. next Tuesday, June 15 at the Eldon First Christian Church to discuss the city of Eldon redevelopment plan.

    Iberia council vacates sidewalks,
    tables pot-bellied pig ordinance
    The Iberia City Council Monday night voted to vacate a section of sidewalk, tabled action on an ordinance that would allow pot bellied pigs in town and discussed the operation of side by sides within the city.
    Enon Area news
    The Lake Area Community Orchestra presented their first summer concert Tuesday evening, June 1, at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Russellville. The orchestra is directed by Andrew Drennan. Eugene Mall, Dan Tschirge, Hazel Rea and Rosalie Wyss from the Russellville area and Judy Jone, formerly from Enon, are members of the orchestra.
    High Point Area news
    The oldest sport at California High School was track and field in 1906. Not many schools had a field like California as they used the quarter mile track at the fairgrounds. It was indicated that the stands were full to watch the meets.
