Bruce J. Proctor, 69, Tipton, died Saturday, Jan. 23, at his home. His wishes were to be cremated and no services are scheduled at this time due to the COVID-19 pandemic, however the community is invited to pay sign a memorial and pay their respects on Thursday, Jan. 28 through Saturday, Feb. 6 during regular business hours at Proctor's Building Materials. Burial will be at a later date at Tipton Cemetery. Honorary pallbearers will be Benny Bestgen, Bill Veulemans, Frank Knipp, Herb Rimel, Gilbert Hake, John Klaas, John Whipple, John Schuster, Steve Byergo and Benny Hainen. Memorials are suggested to Price James Memorial Library and may be left in care of Meisenheimer Funeral Home, Tipton.
Mrs. Rhonda Lyn Carpenter, 45, Clarksburg, died Friday, Jan. 22, at University of Missouri Hospital and Clinics, Columbia. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 26, at Fortuna. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 27, at the church with Bro. Brad Homan and Pastor Rusty Thomas officiating. Per CDC guidelines social distancing and masks are suggested. Burial will be at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery north of California. The family suggests memorials to the Fortuna Baptist Church for their new youth building. Arrangements are under the direction of Bowlin-Cantriel Funeral Services, California.

William David "Billy" Peoples, 70, Syracuse, died Thursday, Jan. 21, at his home. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 29, at the Olive Branch Cemetery.
